Koby
Simple Border:Some people wonder how to put a border around their gfx, well this is here to tell how. With just a few simple steps you can make your masterpiece have a border.1. Open up a border less file, that you want to add a border to.2. Click on the Rectangle marquee tool. then hit CTRL + A, so that the whole graphic is selected.3. Now with it still selected right click in the center of the image, and click Stroke.4. Stroke= 1 pixel Color= (pick a color)Location= InsideBlending: Mode= NormalOpacity= 1005. Now click OK, and your done, so go try different styles with the same basic concept.Transparent Line1) Create a New Layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N)2) Select the Rectangular marquee tool and make a rectangular selection where you want the line to be.3) Edit---> Fill---> Use: WhiteAlso deselect the marquee4) Layer---> Layer Style---> Blending Options:a) Make Opacity: 50%The following is for Photoshop v7+ Select Drop Shadow (with default options)c) Stroke with Size:1 and Color: BlackNext select the Text tool and type your name or whatever u want in such a way that the font size is not larger than the white patch. then drag the text onto the white patch and your done.Glow Stitch1. Start a new image. I made my image 640x480.2. With black as the foreground, white as the background, go to Filter -> Render -> Clouds.3. Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Crosshatch ( Stroke Length - 41, Sharpness - 13, Strength - 3 ).4. Filter -> Brush Strokes -> Ink Outlines (Stroke Length - 38, Dark Intensity - 50, White Intensity - 23 ).5. Filter -> Sketch -> Water Paper ( Fibers - 15, Brightness - 60, Contrast - 45 ).6. Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation.7. Duplicate that layer and set the blending mode to overlay.Matrix Effect1) Open a new at least 100x100 pixels with a white bg also press 'D' to reset your colors. Now go to Filter-Texture-Grain with settings: Intensity:100 Contrast: 100 Grain Type: Vertical.2) Next go to Filter-Artistic-Neon Glow with settings: Glow: 5 Glow Brightness: 20 Glow Color: 00FF003) Now basically your done, just go to Filter-Stylize-Glow Edges with settings: Edge Width: 1 Edge Brightness: 5 Smoothness: 1 More to be added later; Hope this helps.
