Like everyone said in the comments above, the society was messed up and it was an interesting take on it.Also, Gunkata as they called it....looked freaking amazing. † Emotional Outlet Posted August 21, 2012 Report Share Posted August 21, 2012 Speaking of their crazy gun martial art, someone once told me they originally planned for it to be more fluid in motion vice the very rigid and staccato effect you see in the movie. I don't know how true that it is, but it would have looked way cooler if it was.It's not my favourite dystopian story (that'd be Brave New World), but it's slightly more believable than, say, 1984.
