It seems like Microsoft finally did it, and this time for a $50 Price Drop. you probably will find those ads on many magazines.

The ads say XBox 360 Premium will cost $349 while XBox 360 Elite will be $450.

Even Microsoft needed a price drop, and with it they expect faster selling of their console.

"Xbox 360 is fully loaded. It's the unsurpassed gaming and entertainment experience right out of the box, with a 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, wired headset, and more."

"Xbox 360™ Elite is the newest addition to the Xbox family that includes a huge 120GB hard drive (the largest available for any gaming console), a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) cable, and a premium black finish. The Xbox 360 Elite also includes a black wireless controller and black Xbox LIVE® headset."

The difference is the hard drive and the HDMI... and all is black (though you can modify even the Premium color). All consoles compared here:

PS3 is something I want, but even with the $100 price drop, it still isn't worth it. My 360 needs to be fixed cause of hardware problems anyways. But $50 isnt a huge deal, though you could almost buy a new 360 game with that. they are just trying to allure people in.

PS3 has now announced a new version of 80 GB and it's at the same price of 60 GB (they wont continue this version anymore) and emulates PS2 games by software instead of hardware. Because of the new emulating system, we might see a price drop of this version too.

Also a lot of PS3 gaming have been set to release soon like Crysis etc. and almost all games released at XBox360 are released at PS3 too.

On a sidenote it was recently discovered that PS3 is the better system on cold and hot enviroments so it's not easily broken unlike 360.
