I recently picked up this title because I absolutely love the other DW: Gundam games but even though I loved the new characters and additions to the game. It felt like something was missing and that I didn't get that true DW: Gundam experience like I did from the others. I would of liked to have played each character's individual story rather than a mash up with all the characters combined. Loved the cel shaded graphics.

played it .. Just didnt like it .. DW is a good game but mixing with gundamns and watching them fight with aerial stuff and whatnot.. NO thx... a big let down was dynasty warriors 6 i think, the one with all those aerial combats and just the stuff you need to do ingame. Just my own thoughts : D

After playing the game for a few days now I find myself feeling a bit let down. Looks wise, it is incredible with a ton of new and cool MS's and Pilots. Though the actual story line and mode seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 had a very good story mode where just like almost every other Dynasty Warriors game each commander or pilot had their own story line. But in Gundam 3 they seem to merge all of them into a handful of different stories. Which I feel takes away so much from the game because now you can't really play as every pilot unless you want to play the exact mission a lot of time from the same perspective. Anyone who knows DW knows you almost always play the same mission, but usually it is from a different perspective. Another thing I find not so good is how they changed how you aquire mobile suits, now you get plans for the entire thing, verses collecting the different rank parts and upgrading MS's gradually. It seems to me that they cut out so much from what this game could have been, only to add a few more pilots and MS's. Needless to say I love Gundam, and I do like playing this but none the less I feel Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2 was the better game.

What is everyone elses take on the game? :dhh:

I liked having the 00 Raiser available right off the bat.

However, the levels were too small and even by Dynasty Warriors standards, it got old pretty quickly. The only reason I played it as much as I did was because I was trying to unlock Arios, Cherudim, and Seravee. But, I lost patience and quit before I did.

I give it a 2/5.

I've never been impressed with Dynasty Warriors to begin with, but I bought Gundam 2 and 3 because...well...I like Gundam. To me, both 2 and 3 are the same formula of hack, slash, rinse, repeat and really mediocre by any game standards. That being said, I found 2 to be slightly more entertaining than 3. The main reason being that 3's story and character banter is severely lacking compared to 2. I used to love listening to characters from different universes converse with each other in 2, but 3 hardly has any of that dialogue. Also, the way mobile armor battles are handled in 3 is just really tedious and frustrating compared to 2. I also found the maps and missions in 3 to be even more repetitive than those in 2.

But I did enjoy customizing my suits in 3 more than 2, although I can't really say why. I guess I just like getting entire plans versus having to piece my Gundam together. Also, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy having more Gundams to choose from. Overall, I'd say both are mediocre with 2 being slightly better, but I'll still stick with 3 because of the larger roster.
