FFIV: 3d Remake for Nintendo DS

It was confirmed in the recent issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu that Square-Enix will be giving Final Fantasy IV the 3d makeover treatment to appear on the Nintendo DS. The team working on the game is the same team that handled the 3d remake of Final Fantasy III.

How do you feel about this news? Think S-E has gone remake happy, or are you excited about all these remakes? Personally it doesn't bother me.. but I'd like to see some PS2 release remakes.. although that won't happen. =P

Ok, NOW they should re-make FFVII for the PS3. Better yet, why not re-make every FF game from IX on down. I was being sarcastic. What really angers me about this is that the PSP gets the crappy re-makes. PSP get 2D and the DS gets 3D + Wi-Fi.

Well I dont know. I am seeing a pattern for Square once again. It seems the Final Fantasy games originally on the Nintendo are going to Nintendo's systems so the ones on Sony might as well go on the PSP or something. Which is kind of happening as you can play PS1 games on the PSP.

I think these remakes into 3D are a good idea. FFIV has an awesome an unique story but I couldnt stand playing it while it was in 2D. I hope they also do this for FFVI!

I think it's a good idea to. It's a full remake in 3D, and FFIV was a good game. I just hope they take out the random battles. The GBA version of FFIV had a random encounter every couple steps, which does get annoying.

I don't like Cecil's Viewtiful Joe look he has going though...

Heard about this elsewhere. I'm looking forward to it, now that I have a DS Lite. I should probably get into playing FF3 though.
