Episode 1: Same comedy I expect from KonoSuba. So far, no disappoint in sight.

Don't fall us, DEEN. Keep going.

Artstyle looks a little different from S1, though. If but slightly. Not bad just.. slightly different.

Out of curiosity. Does anyone else feel like the animation's gotten more "rough" looking?

(While I was typing this I just saw the response above me lol. Yes I have noticed too)

One thing I've learned over the years is you can get away with having very few frames when making a comedy scene. I personally feel like they're leaning more toward the whole thing looking this way. I mean... Konosuba's already had a rough look to it in the first place. So it's not like people should be freaking out over it

But I am loving the hilarity of the show. I found myself legitimately laughing out loud a few times

S1 vs S2 face. Consistency and detail has clearly dropped, even the extreme expressions kept structure on the face, that's not the case in season 2:

Don't even get me started on this one, look at them! They clearly went retarded, all of the main cast went retarded!:

Once again, detail:

Half assed faces, all the damn time, what's up with her eyes?:

@Hayato You'll probably have to buy / "buy" BDs for proper faces. :D

I must say that Episode 2 was better with the Faces and the Backgrounds, but personally love to see a Complete Fix aswel.

True, they were somewhat better. Either way, Konosuba's good regardless of art style used.

Who even watches this for the graphics anyway?

I mean, this is the kind of anime that is still hilarious even with 'bad' animation. Sure, it would certainly be more pleasant to watch if it had the animation to back it up.

The whole show is awesomely retarded, and I can very easily forgive such a retarded animation.

Clearly, even if some people claim it is "horrible", I'd, by far, have a piece of this show that has me laughing during the whole show, rather than some half-assed piece of trash whose only selling points are graphics (no names will be given).

It is unfortunately quite unusual to have an anime as good as this one, would be a shame if people started bashing on it just because of its looks.

@Deth93 well here is some more for ya.

Thing is DEEN knows regardless, people will watch KonoSuba, so they don't even try...

Of course I'm still watching it as well and will continue to do so. :amazed:

Darkness Vanir was excellent... as was Darkness face when she got excited about finally hitting something. The funniest moment though goes to Aqua: when she watched lil demi-chan walk up to her and grab her leg. Her reaction was priceless.

Loving this season of Konosuba and with only 1 episode to go (praying to Eris for an OVA and S3), I think I need to start the LN. Can anyone here tell me if there is much difference or am I safe to just jump in at the volume afters s2 events end (and what would that be?)

cheers ^^

Overall pretty good sequel. I liked the first series a bit more, but this wasn't bad. The growing friendships between the main characters in the first series was more important, I think.

Great Anme. I really hope they give them a third season, for the time being I reading the LN and it's hilarious XD.
If Konosuba get the third season, then my favourit volume(5) would get animated XD.

I just started watching and it's disheartening to find out about the drop in quality for this season; hopefully the next one gets it right.

Exactly my thoughts. The anime is still very laughable and worth watching, despite the crappy picture.

Chihiro would definitely be my pick. FFF's edits on KonoSuba amount to basically turning the script into fan fiction. Their subtitles for the show should be labeled trollsubs.

Unfortunately neither group has even completed half the season, so HorribleSubs direct Crunchyroll rip is your only choice.

This season was pretty underwhelming, it started "ok" I think and they did make 1 episode with Darkness that was amazing but the rest of it was kinda repetitive and just beating a dead horse with darkness and aqua
