Koby Posted January 12, 2017 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2017 The first season went anime original after episode 17, while the second season picks up where episode 17 left off and ignores episodes 18-25 so that continuity is kept. I decided to look into the chapter numbers for what has been adapted and what hasn't been. Seems season one only adapted 15 chapters, while the second season is going to cover the Kyoto Impure King arc (third arc in the manga) which covers chapters 16-34 for a total of 19 chapters. As of right now there are 86 chapters out, which means once this season ends, they still wouldn't even have adapted half of the existing chapters. Though i feel like they shouldn't have shown those fillers (that pope thing) in the last season. The manga arc was very quick and great to read and the anime is absolutely better than S1. Hoping it offers us great battle episodes!!
