Last Animated Movie You Watched?

Does stop-motion animation count? I watched Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town (1970) late last week as part of my Christmas traditions. I usually watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph. I haven't seen The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974) yet, maybe I'll watch it this year and report back!

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim (2024)

How was it?

I saw Mufasa: The Lion King (2024) today at the theater with family. It's a CGI film, but CGI is technically a form of animation so suppose it counts here. The movie was pretty good overall, but it'd have been better without all the singing as none of the songs resonated or sounded good, unlike the original films music. Also any of the scenes cutting back to Timon and Pumba really slowed down the movie and just would've been better not being there, especially with all the 4th wall breaking comments and jokes.

War of the Rohirrim was fine. I never read the Hobbit or LOTR books, and only have the Peter Jackson trilogies as a frame a reference. I've seen people say the female protagonist is too vanilla, among other complaints, but I don't really have any. I just enjoy watching anime movies on the big screen whenever I can and if they're of interest to me.

Inside Out 2. I thought is better and more complex than the first one.

I have kids...so all my animated movies are usually Disney and Pixar. The last one before that way Howl's Moving Castle. I love Miyazaki!
