SenshiKeizu
I think you can only load them externally. Searching....
Hark0n
GDSMux allows muxing wmv files into mkv container. I am not sure about subtitle support, but mkv files created by it can be opened in mkvmerge. GDSMux is part of Haali Media Splitter package, if installed separately. More info about it and download links can be found here. IMPORTANT: If installed, Haali Media Splitter may affect video player setting. Hark0n
I don't see why mkvmerge isn't working for you. Because it is not suppose to open mentioned file formats. Maybe wmv support was removed; but I have muxed WMV raws with subtitles in the past; namely old One Piece raws come to mind as one of the more recent examples. The unsupported formats may be muxed, if they are inside supported container (it works for Windows Media formats at least). As I mentioned in previous post, it is possible to mux wmv with GDSMux and then open muxed file with mkvmerge, and the same would probably be true for muxing something in avi and then opening it. Sadly, sometimes, even if muxing is successful, resulting file may not work, some audio files I tested (aiff, ape, tak) did not play back and were recognized as unknown by mkvmerge (it did recognized them as audio and allowed to mux them).

I believe the WMV One Piece raws were in a AVI container.

Also, as mentioned earlier, Haali Media Splitter will try to change playback settings for video players (set itself as default splitter for mkv files), so be sure to check video playback after installation.
