professa X
SO i'm really interested in VPN's since i just learned it in my computer commmunications networks class. But how to i pick a reliable free VPN speed to use. I mean they maybe secure from government prying eyes but not malicious users within the network. I found this as the first hit on google:http://www.vpnbook.com/ How do i use it from my computer? Does it really give unlimited bandwidth? lemmingllama
Basically just find a VPN service you like and then fire it up. It will route you through a private network before you get onto the internet, so you will be somewhat disguised just as if you were using a proxy. Also don't expect good speeds. Irregardless of what VPN you use, it will be slower than just browsing the web without a VPN. So if you are really using it just to try to safeguard yourself, then turn it on only if you are doing something that you are worried about, like torrenting. JohnFlower
Any free VPN is shit. Stop wasting your time and actually pay for things.
ZeroPenguins
^Agreed, expect a lot of latency and low bandwidth.
SenshiKeizu
SurfEasy is free, but you only get 500MB.
