What do you want in a video game channel?

I'm posting this thread to see what you would like in a video game channel on the Youtubes. Would it be reviews, gameplay, previews, let's plays, or all of the above? What kind of selling point do you wanna see? A anatomic animal preforming jokes, historically accurate role-playing? What do you, the Kametsu family, want to see? Tell me, I want to know.

Pretty much whatever you can show me about a game or games in general. In-depth reviews, playthroughs, documentaries about the game and/or its studios. Discussions about the genres and the reviewers own two-cents on the matter.

However, I hate when a channel starts balancing off content with too many skits.

I love humor in reviews and countdowns and even documentaries about the games but when it starts being excessive I get bored pretty quickly.

Stole the words right out of my mouth. Basically anything that you feel like talking about, but keep it primarily about gaming/the specific game and jokes just to keep things moving along.

I love to watch LPs, but I get desperately bored if I have to watch them die eight hundred times in a row. A couple times to show the difficulty is fine, especially if you got a few humourous quips in. When it starts hitting death number thirty and it's been like twenty minutes on that one part, I just leave. If I wanted to watch someone be horrible at a game for hours on end, I can do it myself, haha.

And offensive jokes turn me right off an LPer. I can't watch any videos by Pewdiepie for a number of reasons, but the rape jokes and general terribleness tops it. It's more than possible to be hilarious without marginalising people or trivialising real world issues.

Mostly gameplay. But good gameplay. There is a difference. I dont want to watch 15 minutes of grinding slimes in the forest.

Live commentary is better than a later over dub. Maybe even set up a camera so we can see you and your face as you play. Ive seen some people do that on their channels and I guess its just nice to see their facial expressions as they have fun playing their games.

Let's play with live commentary is the way to go, as for the face cam Idea Heart mentioned above you could consider it for facial reactions but honestly that only really works well for horror games so ppl can see you jump and freak out lol.

Live commentary is definitely important, that first reaction to things is good. People also want to see brand new games, nothing old. I run my own youtube channel as you may know and doing older games doesnt get you subs.

Some advice is also to use names for videos that will stand out to bring some attention, ppl can be a bit too curious at times

If you really wanna know check out stuff like cinimascre and the guy with the glasses web sights.  Better knows ans the Angry video game nerd and the Nastalgia critic.  I would check out there how to videos, weather you like them or not they know what there doing and could easily supply tips that will help you define and make your channal more note worthy.
