gamestop is currently doing a sale on Final Fantasy XIII-2 for only $20. But I rarely buy games unless they are simply amazing or have a lot of replay value like sports games, otherwise i just rent them off of gamefly. I loved final fantasy XIII though but im not so sure how good xiii-2 will be since i havent played it yet. what are your opinions? worth the $20? or should i just gamefly it like most of the other games i beat?

It really depends. If you loved Final Fantasy XIII and bought it, you should buy Final Fantasy XIII-2. It has a lot more little side quests and such and isn't quite as linear. So I'd base it off if you liked the first one or not. Me personally would recommend that you buy it, but that's only because I adore Final Fantasy (any and all~ <3)

Just ignore it all together. It spawned from that twilight-ish movie/game that was not a true Final Fantasy, and the less sales the better.

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you mean by the twilight-ish comment. lol. sorry but could you explain so i get the reference/joke?

The over contrasted eye-cancer graphics of FF13 where everything sparkles and glitters (you know Twilight) as if you're on crack.

Seeing as how this thread is ~1month old I'm guessing you've already made your decision. Otherwise I say rent it.

I bought mine online but I couldn't wait for the shipping, so rented it over night as a teaser. Ended up beating the game. Not much content, nor end game content. Can complete it in 1-3day and complete it 100% in a week or less. It was fun, but ridiculously easy. More like a story than a game.
