Couple comments though. On the first one, I think the left side near Loki is too dark; but on the other hand, it seems like a dark vs. light, good vs. evil thing, so I get it. I just think it's a little toooo dark. Then for the second one, I think it would have been even better if you added some sort of light source or gradient on the left side. It seems a little flat.

 

This is just me nit-picking though; they're pretty great. :3

Thank you.  I use the program Photoshop.    After I've done all the work I'm going to do before adding a border...I merge the layers together and then use the "inner glow" feature.  I usually go for the Hard Mix effect.
