ANBU Spectre
Pretty basic question. Who's played an FPS (First Person Shooter) and what's your personal favorite? Do you love killing alien baddies in Halo? Or do you prefer the high octane rollercoaster ride that is Call of Duty? How about large-scale tactical battles as seen in Battlefield? I'll start off. My favorite is Battlefield 3, for the above reason. Something about being on a team of 12, facing off against 12 others, with tanks, helicopters, and jets really gets my blood pumping. BBJynne
MarathonRunning around in a labyrinth of evil, desperately looking for more ammunition and hoping that there won't be another set of enemies. That feeling of excitement when you reach the a switch and push it to continue forward progress, and then the feeling changes because you hear the enemies....*skid skid skid* "nnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh"And Durandal is so funny and crazy.Course, it also has problems like "WHERE DO I GO, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" moments, but some of them add to the overall mood of being in a hostile, unfamiliar environment sometimes (except when your own ship is a maze. that just doesn't even make any sense)
ANBU Spectre
Nice, very nice. I used to watch my brother and his friends play Doom when I was younger, and I always terrified, especially of the big satyr like demons. That was the first FPS I knew of, but I've never played it one.
Spider
I was into the medal of Honor series for the longest time. the new one was pretty sweet. Although it was somewhat short. Nowadays I find myself playing World At War.
Cello
Golden Eye 64. All my childhood memories of multiplayer with my cousins and friends rest in that game. Not to mention the awesome cheats made for a fun time.

pingcheck
Half-Life 2 was great for it's interactive storytelling and immersive atmosphere, and Deus Ex was great for it's interactivity and allowing you to play how you wanted.
Xanodus
Halo was an okay FPS for me I guess. But at first I thought it was boring since I didn't even know how to control or where to find the enemies until I realised that the little moving dots you see where the people xD

Nero D. Ace
Well, if you're asking for a Single player FPS with a lot of concentration on immersion and story, I would pick BioShock. That game just creeps the hell out of you 15 minutes into the game and keeps getting more and more intense as the game goes along, culminating in one hell of a climax. As for multiplayer, while I enjoy playing with a strategic mindset on Battlefield 3, I would actually say that the best multiplayer FPS experience I've had to date is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare TWO.MW3 and Black Ops can suck my balls. TWO was where all the fun and action was at.Between the maps with variable sizes (from Rust to Afghan) and trying to run and gun as a Sniper or knife down any player in my path, I believe I've already checked in close to 900 hours on this game and have no intention of stopping soon.Plus, I can play it for free on the IWNet server. Max465
Timesplitters: Future Perfect all the way.My only complaint about the timesplitters series was the inability to jump which made maneuvering harder as well as avoiding gunfire.
