Well that's hard to say, Bee is the only Jinchuriki I know that has full control and understanding of the 8 tails. Naruto has gain some control over kurama but they still don't get along and it looks like kurama is still holding back some of his power.

Why would you not expect as such? Son-Goku actually means something like Giant Monkey or something along those lines. It's the whole thing that the Saiyans Dragon Ball Z, or more specifically Son-Goku himself from Dragon Ball, originate from as well.

It's not a show, it's Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Works of China. The main character is Sun Wukong, a monkey who fights with a long black staff (much like Sarutobi, whose animal summon was the Monkey King Enma, who could transform into a staff). Sun Wukong also flew around on a cloud, like Goku from Dragonball.

Myself, I don't think I will bother actually remembering the Fox's name. I've been following Naruto for a few years now, and only now am I learning the name of one of the most important characters in the show? It'd be like the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager: even if tomorrow, he were to be given an official name, I would still think of him as "the Doctor". For me, the Kyuubi remains the Kyuubi

The 4 tailed ape's name and appearance came from Sun Wukong (Chinese) or Son Goku (Japanese) also known as Monkey King who is the main character in the classical Chinese epic novel Journey to the West.

While the nine tailed fox is named Kurama because if you write it phonetically, it means fox in Chinese.

Btw, don't forget about the one-tailed biju of Gaara whose name is Shukaku.
