renovalentine
I really liked Dragon Age 1 however Dragon Age 2 didn't really make much sense to me (KOTOR was better for my money), I have enjoyed all the Fable games got them all and played them all many times and generally while the game lasts its my favourite, however they are always to short. Elder scrolls are just great games massive open world fun with hours of game play it has some irritating features such as over emcumber and charging weapons with soul gems but out of the three i think Elder Scrolls is the best. idl12
Dragon age Origins for me, the fact that I have the choice to kill a child to rid a city of a demon proves that at one point at least, bioware had some major balls in those pants, Plus the game just provides with so many choices of dialogue that most of the time I find an option pretty close to what I'd say if real life, Plus the fact that on the higher difficulties I actually have to plan my attacks thoroughly or even the most generic enemy would wipe me out just gives you that "fuck yea" feeling whenever you emerge victorious, did I mention the choices? reason with the bandits, intimidate the bandits, pay off the bandits or just get straight to point and slaughter them all, a guy doesn't wanna open his door? kick the damn thing down. Neither fable nor elder scrolls has as much depth as this game. As for dragon age 2....it was written by someone who said that playing games are the worst part of her job,,,that is all.So yeah Dragon Age, mainly because I loved Origins so much. QuantZ3ro
No RPG hasn't evolved past being an RPG, otherwise it wouldn't be an RPG. What most of the RPG's for 360 and PS3 are is actually action-RPG hybrids, or an offline/online MMO RPG hybrid. They aren't true standard console RPG's, which the Wii has. About the only one the 360 has is Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and Eternal Sonata. You may think they're terrible because they rely on the tride and true RPG method, but for the exact same reason I find games like FF13 terrible because they're trying to form hybrids which lack any form of gameplay. I know the three mentioned in this thread aren't that way though, they're more the offline/online MMO-RPG hybrid type I speak of. I'd take turn-based any day over the garbage the FF series has been turned into.I have too agree played the FFs on the really old game boy loved them made long trips not so bad but the stuff they r throwing out now is just as u said garbage. Xoul
Dragon Age: Origins > Skyrim or Fable but Dragon Age 2 was a disappointment, mainly because of bad story
Unbi
I've played and enjoyed Fable 3, loved Dragon Age Origins (enjoyed the fighting in DA2 but it was iffy), and have heard great things about Skyrim. I think I'd really enjoy Skyrim, though, so hopefully it'll become my number 1!
wyattearp23
Like them all, but like Dragon Age a hair better then the others. Just personal preference I guess.
Zanco
Gotta go with Elder Scrolls, I would go with Fable but Fable three was that big of a let down. ; P
Guest
The Elder Scrolls for me. No game has higher replay value than the others. You can play the game your first time through and choose to be an archer. When you go to play again, pick a different race and class, it's a whole new experience. Especially in Oblivion and Skyrim where you can choose what your abilities are. Skyrim is the best since you can go many different ways in the game. So much free roaming earns it the top place on my list....now it just needs multiplayer!
Libitinarius
TES= More freedom to roam, more realistic look/feel, more jobs, more to do all around, more races/customizations.DA= Better dialogue, freedom to swap characters, more in depth storyline/variety of endingsFable= Peter Molyneux sucks goat nuts, he promises every year to offer the ultimate experience, "fable evolves even when you step on a flower, it could affect what happens next." Adding a "sanctuary" that makes me load 3-4 screens just to swap a piece of equip= bad idea. And I agree with the previous statement about the horns, the only thing you get in 3 is a flurry attack with black wings?! Talk about digressing in what made the game cool. Elite49
Love FABLE 1, still one of my favorite RPG's to this day but Elder Scrolls would be my favorite for current gen. Story wise, anything Bioware makes it lightyears better then Bethesda's storys.
KazekageSama
Elder Scrolls for me.I would've said Dragon Age if I hadnt played Dragon Age 2.

tyrium
Elder Scrolls always has the best choices of gameplay and story, while fable is a kiddy version with less choices. Dragon Age 2.....just No. Not worth the effort.
Qwaszhwahth
As a whole of series Elder Scrolls slaughters the competition. From my experiece they just can't compete with the depth that the series offers. I put in 140+ hours on Oblivion and dropped it 3/4 of the way through the main quest after having done almost every side item. Dragon Age would come in second, but again nowhere near Elder Scrolls. Fable would be a very distant third. I am not saying I didn't really enjoy playing any of these. In fact I loved them all, but I haven't played every bit of every series and we all know thats part of the fun.My opinion is based on having played:Daggerfall(a little)Morrowind(a little)OblivionSkyrim(just starting)Dragon Age Origins (plus like 4 DLC)Dragon Age Origins:AwakeningDragon Age 2Fable 2(never did multiplayer aspects)Fable 3(never did multiplayer aspects)
idl12
Seriously people, just pretend dragon age 2 didn't exist whilst stating your opinion, the series ended with the Awakening Dlc.
