Dan Den
I got this news from another Forum and thought I'd let you guys know.Registrations to Demoniod have been open, I'm not sure of how long they will be open for so take the chance while you still can.Demoniod.me
BlackDahlia
They're open a few hours everyday, or maybe every other day. I search the site frequently and quite often I see it says "registrations open." You don't need an account to download anyway, the site has gone downhill imo

Ang3r
From what I heard, they revoke memberships if you didn't create or seed torrents.
Koby
From what I heard, they revoke memberships if you didn't create or seed torrents.I've had an account for over 3 years and never created a torrent. My ratio is only like 0.5 or so and I rarely seem to use it. I couldn't recall the last thing I downloaded from there as it's been well over a year. I don't really see the need in the site when almost everything up there is already supplied on fileshare sites and posted on forums I visit. †Anras Rune
As far as I've gathered they revoke your account only in the case of consecutive warnings for offences, or if you have a very low DL/UP ratio for extended periods (like having a large dl amount, but minimal seeding). To reactivate your account on the latter you just have to seed til your ratio passes .35 or something like that. Plus, it is good manners to seed as much as you can. Also dahlia, it depends on the admins, sometimes they are open a couple of hours every 3 days, or for 20 minutes everyday. Heck, last year the registration was open for a whole month cause it hadn't been open for 3 months.

This includes Bakat, Demonoid, ACDC and any other big ones you can think of.

djsarab
Thanks bro but before I put up this thread I registered.I have a question, whats the best torrent site. This includes Bakat, Demonoid, ACDC and any other big ones you can think of.Im glad mate, but I feel that speeds on demonoid are very poor.IMO if you talk about general trackers, IP torrents and Torrentleech are the best with good content and speeds and are fairly easy to get in, however there are elite trackers like FTN and FSC, which are awesome but pretty hard to get in.For TV the best trackers are BitmeTV and FreshonTV.For e-learning: BitMe.For Movies: PTN and x264.For music: Waffles and What.cd.. They are only supposed to be used to act as an intermediary between the users transfering the data to open a connection between the two hosts. The speed for torrents is determined by the people seeding and leeching. To be more precise, it is based on their upload and download speed, as well as the ratio between the two. The trackers just allow the data through to its destination, hence why it is easy for ISPs and content holders to find people uploading data, whether they are seeding or downloading while seeding what they have. That however could be due to several reasons but mostly due to seeding through crappy connections and speed throttling on their torrent clients. That is why I guess demonoid remained a semi-private community at best. When it comes to private communities like (ftn, fsc etc), they enforce strict seeding and ratio rules like seeding for atleast 72 hrs and maintaining a 1:1 ratio min. And quite many if not most of the torrents are seeded on a "seedbox" (that however is a story for a diff day) which guarantees great speeds. There are many trackers where all the content is seeded from a seedbox.
onlyina4x4
Hey thanks for the info man, I had completely forgot I wanted an account there until I read this.
hikarabita
been a member of demonoid for 3-4 years, I think. I only have .44 ratio and never changes even the download/upload. so i never seed there anymore and my account is still alive. and you can also dosnload torrents there even if you're not logged in
Unbi
I had an account since the new .ME domain. I haven't used it though. I seed all the time so there's been no problem.
BrairMoss
Haha, I forgot Demonoid was even a site... I registered way back when you had to in order to see torrents older than 3 days, and then... forgot about it. Mostly I just get what I need directly from the suppliers site, but along with the person above, if anyone needs/wants an invite drop me a PM and I will see if my account is active still.PS: I remember selling memberships for in game items a few years ago, does that make me a terrible person?
