† Ferocia Coutura
Okay, so in one year I will be 18. And for my 18th birthday, I want to get a tattoo. But I'm still deciding which one two get for my first one. So I think I'll get some opinions!Option 1:In honor of my favorite band, The Script, I wanna get "Together We Cry" tattooed on my upper back area in this font.http://www.dafont.com/shit-happens.font?text=Together+We+CryI love the meaning of this song. It's one of my favs. On top of the words, I want to get a rose sort of blooming out of them, with a tear drop dripping from one of it's leaves. This is the symbol of the song itself, and I think it would look coolOption 2: I want to get something music related. I was thinking maybe a treble clef on the back of my neck.Option 3: On my lower back area I want to get two Kou fish circling eachother with water rippling around them. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, this tattoo will basically be the two fish of Water and Moon from the end of the first season. So, opinions please!! I want to know what you guys think about my ideas and vote which one you think I should get as my first one! Keep in mind, I want to get all three someday. Libitinarius
My only advice is when you get your first one get it somewhere out of sight. I regret my first tat, it's a grim reaper on my left forearm. Got it when I was 18, people always think i've been to prison because of it (lol). And it is also difficult at certain jobs as you are probably aware of.
† Ferocia Coutura
Yeah. All the tattoo's I'm getting are going to be somewhere that will be covered by clothes or by my hair.
Spacecreepkitan
juss make sure your damn positive about what you want !!! The hardest thing about it is that you might think it's what you want but your opinion might change, so after they do the transfer if you do decide to get one take 10 min. or soo to see if you really like the image and the placement... you aren't gonna be able to change anything ( cheaply anyway ) later. that said, I don't think any of these are gonna be something you want forever with the exception of the music note, music is a big part of your life so I think it IS quite fitting. Just think it through and you'll come up with something you'll love;)
seirachan
Just keep in mind the price of a tattoo, I have to pay at least $100 for a tiny little thing, when I was first talking to the guy he said $300 and all I want is just a purple heart and some neat black designs around it on my lower back... HOLY SHIT
DrumRoll
I don't see the point in tattoos to be honest. Unless your a sailor.
Spacecreepkitan
A tattoo is like saying, " I love this sooo much I'm gonna take it everywhere I go " it says your willing to endure pain for the things that you love .... it says get the frick outta my way before I stab you with my jailhouse shank jk
ZeroPenguins
Meh, tattoos are not worth it in the long run, what happens when you want to remove it? It will cost you $$$ and leave some scars on your skin. Maybe before getting a permanent one, get a stick on one or rub off and see how it goes. Spacecreepkitan
^that's why I always urge people to try to get something that's timeless or deeply important to them, and btw they usually make a transfer ( the outlines and suff ) of the image you want onto your skin and just follow the lines they generally ask you to make sure you like it and the placement before they start scarring you for life :/ maybe that's just not enough time for some people :/
The Welsh Paddy
I reckon the colourful treble cleff would be most interesting. But not on the back of yer neck. Get it somewhere more interesting, like on the side of yer stomach or something. I personally think writing looks damn awful in tattoos, and have always percieved a tattoo on the lower back to be a 'tramp stamp', but that's all down to the sort of people who have that over here. xD
