BlackDahlia
Modern Warfare 3 for me. Battlefield 3 looks too much like Bad Company 2 to me, but I have to say, the Battlefield movements look much better than MW. At the end of the day, they're both good games but I prefer an arcade shooter.
theWORD
BF3 for me, already got it tooi will get MW3 for christmas just to see if there are any major differences between past installments (dont want a new MW2)
CDNLP
I intend on getting both, but I also tend to get bored of vehicle fights all the time. BF3 is much more realistic, and as such can be a much more complicating. I've always liked the Modern Warfare series so going to have to side with that. idl12
Mw3 for the story, bf3 for the multiplayer, it's seems to be heavily team based which appeals to me like games such as left 4 dead and tf2.
la5er
Of the 3 posts I have checked out here on this forum. I dont see anyone posting the reasons technically as to why they chose the game that they chose.BF3 has been the first game in a long time to be developed for the PC exclusively in its development process FIRST. Not second like most PC and Console games. The technical "up to date" aspects weigh heavily in favor of BF3. BF3:Uses DX11Engine: Frost-Bite 2.0First game to fully optimize quad-core process methods.Has localized damage hit-boxes.MW3:Uses DX9.1cEngine: Quake3The Quake3 engine is good but doesnt have localized damage hit-boxes.Both use Phys-x'esque style technology but the "hit-box" emulation that MW3 uses implements the projectiles trajectory in relation to the position of the player rather than using the bullets actual position and the position of the player. Lord0Link
Fuck this I have both on PC and 360but to be honest if the next COD doesn't improve and still has the same Lag Compensation BS system then MW3 is gonna be my last COD game the only reason I Bought MW3 was becuase of the promise that al the BS that was in MW2 was going to be removed. and by adding lag compensation and not removing final stand and deadmans hand isn't really helping+ when I hit 10th Prestige LV80 on 360 and 0pres lvl80 on PC (MW3)I'm gonna be back on BF3 PC only. why becuase the console version sucks compared to the PC version
Zanco
I'm for Modern Warfare 3 but that's just because I've never played a single Battle Field game.
the man773
Both games will be awesome, but Im probably gonna be too busy with Skyrim to play them when they are released.Agreed Skyrim beats both. I prefer it because even though most of my friends play it, every single one of us can name several unique experiences that we can share while talking to each other. BF3 and MW3 have the same level unlocks for every player making your play time with each game less unique. I'm also a bit Elder Scrolls nut so that MIGHT have had a deciding factor with my choice, tho honestly I prefer Battlefield 3 because it encourages teamplay and I find that a bit more appealing than just running around trying to benefit only yourself.
