Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Picked this up from amazon while it was on sale. It has been pretty awesome so far. I like the mix of RPG elements mixed in with the strategical FPS. The stealth part can be pretty fun as well.

I grabbed it on sale for 34.99 on amazon, pretty awesome price considering it is still brand new. Amazon has been making me buy more and more things recently.

Anyone else pick this up? Have any thoughts?

I preordered it from gamestop, its a good game but it doesn't have a lot of replay value unfortunetly.

I think you should check if you've got the right game, I mean, there's a shit ton of situations that turn out differently depending on what you say or do,(see the first mission, the ambush in Hengsha,Jensen's conversation with depressed ex-Swat buddy, the list goes on) sure the ending was terrible, but the rest of the game has enough choices to make it more than replayable.

I enjoyed it. It was a good mix of a cover shooter/stealth/rpg. In fact these are the reasons it has replay value. The first time I played it as a shooter, and once again with stealth and hacking (which is much harder imo).

I just bought it and so far its pretty cool. I just defeated Barrett and been doing some side-missions for credits and xp to level up and get augmentations.

i just finished the game a few days ago. i enjoyed it a lot and would play it over again to do all the side quests. i played the first deus ex when it was released for pc. i kind of want there to be another part to HR though; there's so much more Eidos Montreal can follow up on before the start of the original game. like Bob Page and Megan Reed.

I actually think this could be a decent game, I like how they are saying sometime in the future that there is going to be bio-engineered humans in the future heh.

It was by no means better than the original Deus Ex, but nonetheless quite enjoyable.

i got this game for xmas i know i did but as of yet i have yet to recieve it i do look forward to it as the other games were pretty good.

loved this game story rocks but if you have this game you have to get the book it tells the story of the tyrants and how they plan the attack the books a 10/10

I dont really find a game replayable if you can make all the best choices during the first walkthrough anyway. You choose the stealth gameplay over action - you get enough xp to unlock all the useful augments; no reason not to do all the side quests before advancing in plot, the game warns each time you're about to pass a point of no return; there arent really any equal choices, there are those that bring you to the best scenario (less bloodshed and all), why would you replay the game to make it worse, like, let Malik die and see what happens? The only real brunching comes at the very culmination, so you hit the save button and try out all four possibilities, just to hear Adam's final speech differ slightly depending on how you played (or you can even see that all on youtube, without the save/load routine.

On the other hand what i liked was how some quests were affected by your actions without actually warning you. Not like you have a fixed objective A with and a fixed optional point B. At the very beginning, during the hostage situation, no one actually tells you "hey, if you dont make it in time, the hostages will die". I personally thought David would bug me on the radio for ages while i take a slow look around to my liking and the game timer would be frozen, but no, my actions actually cost human lives. After such a start you expect even more but alas that's about it. The only other situation i can recollect is Malik's ambush, at first i didnt even think i could change the outcome, lucky i gave it a shot.

Awesome game, but i ruined it for myself once i discovered infinite glitch

Basically you save right before hacking and once t shows you reward ( exp, credits) instead of proceeding reload your save and hack again it will give you doable the reward, reload again and it will give you triple... you can do so as long as you want, best place Adam Jenesns computer in HQ

Don't know too much about Deus Ex but it kinda reminds me of the film Appleseed Ex Machina. With all the gunfights and futuristic super human cyborgs and stuff.

i never played the original for the ps2 but i did pick this up and i have to admit it is easily one of my top fav games iv beaten it 3 times and i am working on the 4th on the hardest setting now and i am still enjoying this game as i did the first time i popped it into my console, if you are having second thoughts about this game i say get it since it is one of the very rare games SquareEnix has ever made that is good let alone even playable. if you like sneaking or just straight up shooting people in the face get this game its easily a 4-5 (if it had downloadable missions for extra gameplay id easily give it a 5-5)

Bought the collectors edition day one. Really fantastic gameplay experience. Only gripe with it was the dated visuals and the story. Kind of a let down. Those things aside people who enjoy steampunk/stealth/actionrpg games should give it a shot.
