xNoName
Hmmm, Death Note had quite fine artwork, iirc; 5 centimeters per second had nice animation, too; Ghost in the shell movies had nice animation, as well; Ufotable's works–Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/Zero–have appreciable animation, too. Of all the above, I mostly liked KnK's animation.
Dan Den
I would say Angel Beats, the attention to detail they took in creating the anime is truly something to marvel over and the same goes with Death Note but Angel beats out classes it in the end. MABFanForLife
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ..So far.....I hate to be THAT guy, but Brotherhood's animation is terrible. Well, maybe not terrible but no where near as polished as the original's. The original's animation looked so much better. Brotherhood's animation looks like it was done either quickly or with a small budget. There are plenty of older anime that look much better than it does. Jam-Jam444
If you are watching it in high quality then I would say Death Note, the the Shinigami world is so morbid and the style of it is so cool. I mean, I have seen Shinigami in tons of other anime's but none so original as Death Note. The actions scenes are breath taking, the character art is not sloppy in the least bit and it is just an anime to keep you hooked (I was DEVASTATED when I found out that there weren't more episodes! ... T_T ... although the most important people (Matt, dang, he should have had MUCH MORE screen time! Mello and L, as well, Watari was a boss too!) died, I don't think Near is THAT annoying as others claim ... but a whole season centralizing around him wouldn't be so great.) Sorry, I am digressing. Another one with good animation, to me, is Soul Eater! I never have seen an anime with such a unique style, the moon and the sun never fail to freak me out! Movies with good animation is Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke but you'll never appreciate them if you don't watch it in high quality, Hayao Miyazaki makes you appreciate his type of artwork and also those of many old animes like Ashita no Joe or Speed Racer. Overall, for me, an anime with good animation makes it the most memorable.
xNoName
@MABguy: HUH? I, for one, actually found FMAB's animation a lot finer than the original's. It was lot more vibrant and contrasting. The characters were well made, too. The sceneries, in my opinion, were comparatively well evolving and elaborated. There are plenty of older anime that look much better than it does.Hah! Wut, like NGE?!
mintymilk
Ghost In The Shell - the effort that went into making that animation must have been insane for its time.

Idk why people rip on it so much, both FMAs were just amazing.

xNoName
Fate Stay NightOne thing I really hated about Fate/Stay Night was it's pathetic animation, and you're saying it's one of your favorites, huh? How come? It's true that Fate/Zero has awesome animation considering it is being made by ufotable but it's sequel's animation is pathetic, in my opinion. TheLostFool
Have to go with Soul Eater for the best animation. It had it's own cool unique style.lol seems like most are being fan boys and just saying their favorite shows. =P
Ultra NHD
Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, Soul Eater, and I really like Fairy Tale. There is also Dragon Ball Kai openings, which really showed how great DBZ can be if redone in modern animation. Just an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OevhRjMkl-I
ZeroPenguins
Mardock Scramble. I recently saw that and I think it has one of the best animations. I don't really remember others but I know that Angel Beats, Eden of the East and Highschool of the Dead has good animations.
Diablo
I find xxXHoics Animation and Drawing style pretty unique, it looks like old Ukio-e prints from Japan, even the wallpapers look like some masterpiece from olden times. Actually when I saw it's wallpaper I never thought it's real anime would be so close to the artwork.
gekku
Hard question... I am mostly in awe during those really slick battles where the animation adopts the thin lines, and it all feels really fluid. Naruto is a good example of this, it's easy to notice when a battle is one of those decisive battles, compared to a drawn out struggle just by looking at the animation.Otherwise, Code Geass R2 always looked great!
