Kabuto brought them back using one of Orochimaru's jutsu's. You remember how he brought back the first and second Hokage's against his fight with the 3rd Hokage? Same thing. The thread creator simply is asking why Kabuto hasn't made them join in the war even though he brought them back.I believe it's because he has other plans for them. Plus, even if he did bring Itachi back now after the transplant, I don't "see" the guy rushing into battle anytime soon ;DAs for Pain, i don't know which one - Nagato or Yahiko. But either way, Madara's taken away his Rinnegan which basically accounted for 80% of his power. So I don't think he'd be much use if brought back.I'm really disappointed by this Jutsu though. What I wanted was - the author should start killing off more characters. Instead, he's doing the exact opposite.Both Itachi and Pain are without eyes I think. Not positive though. Not positive though.Itachi and Pain's original bodies are eyeless true, but the jutsu Kabuto uses doesn't care about that. It covers the body of a sacrificed human with dust and ash, and basically recreates the body of whoever you're bringing back. So this means, that the resurrected Itachi and Pain do have their eyes.
