New Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin anime??

I'm gonna be doing some digging around, but if this is true, I'm gonna have mixed feelings.

One the one hand, freakin' yes! I'm a huge Rurouni Kenshin fan. One of my favorite animes of all time. More episodes? Sounds great to me...

As long as they're actually decent. No offense to any of the writers/directors who may want to create more Kenshin, but it's gonna be hard to try and equal, if not surpass the original, especially in regards to the Kyoto Story Arc. They'd really need to create something amazing in order for this to work. If they create more episodes similar to what happened after the Kyoto Arc, it's gonna cause a huge backlash from the fan community, who may have high hopes for this. But if they can match or surpass the brilliance that the Kyoto Arc brought to the series, then I think most Kenshin fans will be extremely happy.

If this happens, I know I won't be able to resist watching the subs before they dub it. But if they do get around to dubbing it, I pray they get the original voice cast. Cause the Kenshin voice cast was, in my opinion, the greatest I've ever heard for an anime.

So, gonna be doing some digging into this.

ah, so this is why they recently released that new game ...

i'm thinking that they may continue the story from after the fight with the "bandages guys" (im sorry, its been so long i don't remember his name) according to the manga since it went in an "original" direction from that point.

all that said, i hope they can maintain the atmosphere of the original one.

I hope this is some kind of remake following the manga like Brotherhood of FMA was. If not, at least make it from some arc in the manga that the anime didn't cover. Though honestly rather this is filler or not I'd definitely watch it. I just hope they don't mess it up and that it'll be worth watching. Hope Media Blaster's licenses it and dubs it eventually as well.
