Super Smash Bros. Brawl! One of the best games to be released for the Nintendo Wii is still popular several years after its release! This game spawned tournaments, idiotic metagaming tier lists, and new gamers that took the world by a not-so-impressive spamming storm! This thread is for those that play this game that is packed with fanservice, content, and some of the best multiplayer action to ever hit the world! Post your favorite characters, strategies, stage ideas, opinions, criticism, whatever the *bad words* you want! I leave you to your own devices!

I use Wolf most of the time, I used both zelda and sheik in melee, not so much in brawl, link, sometimes Ike, because it's too easy to kill people I will rarely use him, pit.

one thing I do is when I duel someone, I can gauge the way they attack and move, and as I play I create a counter strategy against it

I mostly used Marth in Melee. As for Brawl I haven't played it as much and haven't played it in ages.. but it's still fun whenever I do pick it up and play. On Brawl I tend to mostly play as Pit.

Ballard and I have played Brawl online before, but he's the only one I've ever played it online with.

I'll play every once in a while, but I am not that good. I perfer to play with casual players, stock with 5 lives, no time limit, no teams, no PCs and very few or no items. I love the area builder thing! I try to use a variety of characters.

My top 8 favorite characters to use (pending sometimes)-

1. Ike

2. Shiek

3. Zelda

4. Luigi

5. Captain Falcon

7. Diddy Kong

8. Peach

top 5 characters I hate or refuse to use -

1. Pit

2. Jigglypuff

3. Falco

4. Fox

5. Lucario

I remember something major from Brawl. That Sonic was very annoying whenever he got the @!#%ing Smash Ball :/

Favorite Characters to use:

1. Ike

2. Samus

3. Meta Knight

4. Lucario

5. Ganondorf

Should see if I can still solo 2 Level 9 Fox CPU's. That was #$@^ difficult :/

Sonic is very annoying period especialy in a match with any of the overkill items. Why? Because he is insanely fast, so he can get items much faster than any other character. Sonic can be really cheap at times with his super running ... but I guess that's Sonic for ya.

I like to mix it up and play with a bunch of different characters, but Marth and Pit are my go-to characters. I don't think I've ever played it online, even though I totally could. It's a great party game, because it's easy for anyone to just pick it up and plaly. The same can be said for Melee. Plus, it never gets old, because the battles are different every time. Melee and Brawl are definitely on my favorites list, even though I don't play them very often.

There's fanservice in Super Smash Brothers? I only played the first one for the nintendo 64, it's probably older than me, but still a lot of fun, my friends and I still get together and play it sometimes, I mostly use Link and Pikachu.

Fanservice as a lot of various meaning aside from the type you are thinking of.

Read #2

As stated above, "fanservice" came from Japanese anime, film, and music culture. Its definition is spreading to include any unnecessary visuals included simply because the fans, presumably, want to see them. Gratuitous nudity, male or female, but also shots of cute mascot animals (e.g., Chuchu the mouse in "Utena").

Read #3

In anime, fanservice stands for scenes which are not relevant to the overall plot at all, but merely are included to give the viewers what they presumably want to see. This generally includes things like panty shots, bouncing boobs, shower scenes, skirts which barely cover the crotch area, but can also be things like incredibly overexaggerated explosions, giant robots or supercute animals.

Read #6

Generally any situation or scene in a movie, cartoon, comic, or even real life in which a scene is done specifically to cater to what the fans want to see, divorced from a plot or any other non-catering need. Often mistaken as invented by Japanese anime, the truth of the matter is that Hollywood movies and American TV shows in particular had been using this concept for years, if not decades, before anime ever even existed; however, the coined word itself DID start within anime fandoms to reference scenes of near-nudity that held no part to the overall plot of the episode/movie/etc.

When I play brawl I mostly play as Link or Falco. I've played it online many times... though I rarely play my Wii anymore. The first time I played it online was with Koby. I usually don't like playing with items on. It's something I've grown use to from melee. I really like the maps... stages... levels... whatever you want to call them :P... They were a nice change from all the years I played melee. I hate playing with the wii controller. It takes awhile to fully get use to, so I use my gamecube controller now.

Reading this thread makes me want to play it XD...
