3DS Gliches?

I was thinking about buying a 3DS for my first DS but I heard it's been having some problems. Sometimes it doesn't show 3D and it only has 3hour battery power. Compared to 17hours on the DSI. Anyone else hear about this or how popular the problems are?

I'm stuck between getting a DSI XL or a 3DS. The 3DS really doesn't have much for good games but if any good ones come out then I miss my chance if I buy DSI XL. I already have Pokemon Soulsilver already bought waiting till Friday before I pick up the DS.. just dunno which one.

Personally, I'd say go with the DSI XL. A friend of mine got the 3Ds when it came out, only to find that, as you said, games didn't always appear in 3D. Despite holding the DS in every position she could think of, it just wouldn't work in 3D, so in the end, she got her money back and got a DSI XL

I don't know if the no 3D thing is a screen issue, but if not then there will always be firmware updates that fix small problems like these. The DSi XL will be phased out over time while the 3DS is here to stay for several years. I'd personally go with a 3DS simply because there are a ton of great games that will be coming out for it in the near future, and all the glitches will be fixed with updates.

If you tried playing DS games in 3D, that may be why they didn't all play in 3D, but most 3DS games play in 3D. The bugged ones will eventually get a firmware update to get the 3D effects working right for the 3DS games.

Also, the DSi is not the one with 17 hours of battery life, that is only for the DS Lite. The DSi is closer to around 8 hours and the XL version around 6 hours, last time I checked.

Get the 3DS.

I went to my Gamestop at midnight and bought it during its release.

So far I've had no problems and the 3D looks amazing.

Plus, you can play your DS games on the 3DS, but not the other way around, so you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. If you really don't like the 3D, there's a 3D slider where you can control the amount of 3D you want.

I've had no problems with glitches at all so far.

Battery Power

Play on with battery life of up to 17 hours for the Nintendo DSi XL system, or up to 14 hours for the Nintendo DSi system.

right from the Nintendo site

theirs not enough info on games and it's features for me to be interested in it, the reason I go to Nintendo first is because they USUALLY have something new to offer to my gaming, where as sony just tries to do the same thing but tries to do it better each time
