† Talena Mae
What is going on in the world today? In England and the US the snow falls/ snowstorms are getting heavier and heavier. In New Zealand earth quake after earth quake. let latest one was yesterday, 5.2 but only 5km under them and about 10km away from the city center. (less sever then the 7.1 September just gone, but more devastating as it happened in the middle of the day and not 4am as the September one)Australia is being flooded in the eastern states and top western Australia. Southern West Australia is in the grip of a huge dry spell that is only going to get worse. What are you opinions on what is happening around the world? Why do you think we all are having so many natural disasters? Is it "the day after tomorrow" (the movie) come true?
Mr_Owl
depends on who you ask. some "experts" say its global warming (or global climate change when you point out all the snow in the USA). Some think 2012 is nearing, so the Earth is reacting. some say the magnetic poles are reversing, and everything is changing because of it. personally, i think its just a temporary climate change. they do happen every once in a while. realmzmaster
There have been nautral disasters thoughout recorded and unrecorded history. It use to take weeks or months for news of diasters to reach around the globe. Now we get the news instanteously. The earth has taken a great deal of punishment from man.Natural diasters are one way of the earth cleansing and healing itself. The earth may be trying to repair the damages man has wrought. seirachan
Who knows. I kinda wanna live my life out and die peacefully. But I've always known I was gonna die early. The weather here in BC is annoying because it keeps going, warm, cold, warm, cold. I like it when it's warm though so I don't freeze my legs off walking to and from work. But I also hate summer 10x more.I've heard about the winter storms in the US, weird cause up north here we are only getting a max of 2 feet of snow. Any higher is from plowing. I'm also shaking my head at one dumb guy I know down there putting his in house Temp to 93 so "his doors wont freeze" YEAH that's gonna be a big bill. But this same guy is so proud that his mother told him he has anime hair... ie ya yie

lordofelemental
it is a natural disaster so we can't put any conclusion about it..humankind can make wars, but not this one, as for climate change.. it's the effect of mankind's evolution in technology compromising the harmful effects in our environment. well, it's good that i did not watch 2012 =).. just to think of it, there are alot of news around the world with these kinds of things... so what it will be next? maybe, i should enjoy my life to the fullest right now
renovalentine
its such a shame when things like this happen even though we can't prevent them. my thoughts and regards go out to those in japan and the other country's in the region that have been affected.
