Testament of Sorrow Posted December 7, 2006 Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 Here is a disscussion topic about the first game..Truly, it is my favourite one, mostly for its humour, settings abstract content and atmosphere.As well, I find it interesting how some key elements from Koudelka were used to sonstruct the plot of Shadow hearts...well, any thoughts? Koby Posted June 26, 2007 Report Share Posted June 26, 2007 It was also one of the few rated M rpg's.. which made it great since it actually showed blood in the cutscenes if someone got hurt.. unlike other rpgs.. I mean, some may not like it, as I've heard a few people didn't like the graphics or the characters or the dungeon designs, but I quite enjoyed it. Guest wweii Posted October 1, 2007 Report Share Posted October 1, 2007 Shadow Hearts is my second favorite Rpg behind FF. Covenant is my favorite out of the 3. The 3rd one is my least favorite. Overall I loved the stories of the first 2. I think they did a great job. The music isn't bad either. In the end, it was a nice change from FF. I liked the fact that the first 2 were a little darker. Hypnotiq Posted October 4, 2007 Report Share Posted October 4, 2007 Shadow Hearts(With 2 being my favourite) and Digital Devil Saga Series are the two best dark rpgs that ever existed.If you haven't played Digital Devil Saga and the Shin Megami Tensei Series , you are missing out.These rpgs destroy some of the Final Fantasy's that have come out. In truth, SH2 was my favorite as I got the most enjoyment out of it. SH1 was too much for me when I played it, I was a little too young then - it was too dark and sombre, I was always too afraid to continue the story and I was pretty freaked out at most of the monster designs the first time I saw them. However, if I were to play a game that dabbles in the same atmosphere as the SH series, I would want monsters to look like monsters, at the very least I would not have to worry about my conscience for killing them; unlike most games nowadays where the first monsters you come across are puppies and rabbits."Awww, the rabbit is so cute.....lets kill it."
