both of them are excellent. i would normally prefer the top one if it weren't for the bottom right corner being noticeable unlike the other corners.

Yeah, the first one would be pretty nifty if there weren't any straight edges. Wouldn't need to cut in too deep, I think, so you won't lose too much of the image.

The guy's fingernail looks infected though, like I could rip it off. =P

The fade out "try" would only work in darker backgrounded forums. I mean, if it IS what you were intendin to do, I dunno.

I love every last bit of effect put into it, except for the whole cut-out/fadeout whatever you wanna call it. It's just badly done. For this forum at least.

Other than that, I am your new fanboy regarding graphics.
