ElementalCards
I lost my first Game Boy Color when I was in 3rd grade and my next door neighbor never returned my sis' GBC. I didn't play Pokemon until 2003, however, but I had the Game Boy Advance SP when it was popular.

ShinPhuzz
I remember a lot of people losing the battery compartment covers to their GBC and using masking tape to stop the batteries from falling out. Good times.

stevyy
there quite nothing like playing the first gen pokemon games on the original gameboy emulator doesnt come close
Nihnagum
@ Stevyy, I concur. I had the original Brick gameboy (Yellow) and I recall playing pokemon. As for missing playing the Colour generation, Nope! I don't recall any of my mates owning one. Most of my mates either owned the original brick or the pocket, the colour was very rare during my time. My brothers and I also owned a Super Nintendo with the Super Game boy adpater to play on Tv, which was the ultimate substitute for the Gameboy colour. blacktestament
Kids these days are so lucky they don't have to worry about buying new batteries and going blind with no backlight
SenshiKeizu
I lost mine when I moved houses. I had both the Color and the original, Really miss it.
Kid Ryan
I've never had/owned or -played anything Nintendo myself. I grew up with only PlayStation consoles and handhelds in the house for some odd reason.
noob447
I got my first GBC as a gift to relieve PTSD (supposedly) from a bad car accident XD. I fell in LOVE. I still regret selling it to buy Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
samthelamb2
that was the first game system I remember getting as a kid living on fixed income. brings back memories.
Max Grief
I really think the Virtual Console on 3DS XL did justice to GB/GBC games. It has the same pixel size when in GB/GBC mode, and more importantly, it has backlight!
Novablas
the only game console I ever lost... it just VANISHED from my house one day, never to be seen again. My favorite game console ever... the teal one too.

TheWindFish
I still have all my old systems, thankfully, but I've unfortunately either lost my GBC games (Oracle of Ages may still be in a Cleveland hotel room somewhere) or the save batteries died and rendered them unplayable. I remember being absolutely devastated when I heard that the GameBoy Advance wasn't going to have an infrared port for Mystery Gift support. MCNC
My first handheld was a GBC. Good times, I still miss playing Pokemon Crystal on that thing.
