Koby
At least I think that is what it's called. Basically what I want to do is take all my externals out of the cases and put them into one external case together. Reason for doing so is to free up outlets etc (has having 4-5 plugged in all the time is really using up a lot of outlets on my surge protector. It'd also make it easier to disconnect and reconnect to other PC's without using 4-5 USB ports, which will also make it handier to take to a friends, etc.I've got:2 of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168221364711 of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136747and one SeaGate which I cannot find online any where to show.So whatever it is, needs to be able to fit those. I'd prefer it to hold at least 4-5 drives and be reasonably priced (like $120 or less for example or at least close to that).I need another drive as well, but I'm hesitant to buy them with prices so high currently. If anyone has any possible suggestions, etc... please let me know.EDIT: I found these:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817994077http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817121913http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816215246http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816215244http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816215172http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816215175Are these any good or would they work for what I need? † An IP BreAKDoWN
No eSATA nor USB 3.0 ports right? I like this one, though I've never seen this in real life, but the fan and its speed really takes the cake. However I believe its not hot swappable; does it really need to be hot swappable? RikuoAmero
You might want to check this out While I haven't bought any products myself off of NCIX, the guy in the video, Linus, has done a million videos and he always goes into as much detail as possible. In fact, I watched a bunch of his videos detailing how to build a computer. While he is selling the product, in this case, he is demonstrating it to you accurately, so there's no sleight of hand so to speak.

Because I'm kind of confused about your post.Anyhow, no don't have any USB3 or eSata ports, however if you have any suggestions for getting some, that'd be great as well (although guess it'd be impossible to use on my laptop then wouldn't it, lol. † L4ugh
If you're actually wanting this to be external from your desktop. I think what you need is a NAS (Network Attached Storage). The raid cages you linked to look more like they belong as part of a mod to the case of a regular desktop. They have molex and sata power connectors on the back panel instead of the plug you would expect coming out of the back of a computer or external hdd. The one Rikuo linked to could also work, but I'd be a bit worried about how you would go about salvaging data on the drives if the unit itself ever goes bad. If you have an old computer, you could try making your own NAS by downloading opensource NAS software like FreeNAS8.
