If you can expect to gain something like 80 EXP before dying, a 50% healing spell will allow you to get the extra 20 EXP needed to gain a level (or item). Get one right as you die, and in your next life you should be able to make your purchase. For instance, even if I didn't kill you b/c I have a 56% healing spell I would've been able to reach 100 EXP anyway. I went through satanic, demonic, Catholic, ... but they were all wrong, and I was stupid for trying them. I needed to use a phantom summoning ritual xD.
