MU suspended?

Anyone ever got their MU suspended before? Well because I just got an email and it said it got suspended for 6 hours, which totally sucks. I was sharing my premium account with a few people on here and friends and this happens lol. I guess too many people on at the same time isn't a good thing, I believe 5 is the max at one time.

Here is the message:

Megaupload/Megavideo account 'Ang3lofChaos' suspended‏

Dear Ang3lofChaos,

Your personal Megaupload/Megavideo account was found to be accessing 10 files/videos from 5 different IP addresses at the same time.

This indicates that

- you are using IP anonymizing or "hiding" tools

- your ISP is redirecting you through multiple proxies,

- you are performing concurrent remote file fetching to several hosts,

- you used a link-sharing download tool such as "XunLei" or "QQ Xuanfeng", or

- your account leaked, e.g. through phishing, sniffing or password guessing attacks.

To prevent improper use and to protect the integrity of your account, we have suspended it for the next 6 hours.

Afterwards, your account will be unblocked automatically, and you will receive a new password by e-mail.

To prevent this from happening again in the future, we suggest the following:

- Avoid using IP anonymizers. They also tend to degrade download performance.

- Go to the "My Account" page and switch to a different download port (e.g. 800) to possibly bypass your ISP's proxies.

- Avoid excessive file fetching.

- Never ever use "XunLei", "QQ Xuanfeng" or similar tools to download from us.

- Make sure to always check your browser's address bar before entering your username/password - phishing sites are abundant!

- Scan your computer for a possible spyware infection. Always keep your system up to date with the latest security patches.

- Use a secure, hard to guess password.

So anyone ever had their MU account suspended? Should I be worried and send them an email saying it was all a mistake? Lol this sucks I was uploading files to it (TCL's encodes) and now I can't since it won't let me sign in anywhere.

Sounds like you should stop sharing the account. Generally filehosts do not want any one else period to be using it except for yourself. You're actually lucky they didn't just delete the account.

I got that last month, I don't share my account but i was remote uploading a bunch of files to Fileserve (File-fetching) and downloading on my IP and my Grandfathers IP using Jdownloader all at the same time, I sent them a message telling them that, They replied saying that i shouldn't File-Fetch excessively and shouldn't use Jdownloader or other 3rd party download managers with my Premium account, I should use Megamanager to download instead lol.

In anycase after the 6 hours they unblocked it and i had to change my password (As they changed it) but it all works fine now and I'm still using Jdownloader to download lol. I'd suggest you don't share it with so many people as it will likely happen again if 5 people or IP Addresses are using it at the same time.

True I'm lucky, if they deleted it then all of TCL's uploads would go down as well, I be crying my pants out Lol. But I believe sharing is caring, isn't that why we share anime?

It should just unblock automatically after the 6 hours like it says in the e-mail, I don't think you need to make anything up.

Lol, I thought you had your own, I guess I could share it with you but first I got to carefully pick which friends to share it to, because someone seems to be leaking my account to other people. I'm gonna buy more premium soon and I have got to know you better Koby before I start spilling my account details (mostly because my passwords and usernames are the same >.>).

I occasionally buy premium for a month at a time, but it's too costly for me to always want to do it. I mean $15 for a single month is kind of ridiculous when something like FileServe is only $90 for two years. I was occasionally finding leaked account info for MU on certain sites thanks to Google but those accounts seem to die rapidly so it gets tiresome. Anyhow, I can understand trust issues, after all that's why I've never given out my FS account info. It's linked to my paypal which is also linked to my bank account among other things. Anyhow if you did share I'd only occasionally use it here to there to download shit in jDownloader as 95% of everything I grab is usually uploaded to FS these days anyhow. I'd probably use it for remote uploading to FS for the most part to continue weekly updates on EDK (which actually needs more staff now that Iki is too busy and TCL has quit, so if anyone is interested that's cool). As for trusting me, well I've got my reputation to hold on to. I work online doing web designing and such and bad rep would ruin that as well as this network of sites including those sites I host for people for free that I've never did anything bad with or anything. You can't find many anime sites (at least decently well known ones that aren't on free hosting) that people don't know me on these days as I'm either a current member or been one at some point or even staff on. I see, I'm buying 6 months very soon since it's quite cheap, I got suspended again but this time it is 12 hours instead of 6 hours. Lol that's it I'm not gonna share it with my friends, just really closes ones and maybe one or two people on here, I think one of my friends are remote uploading files to Filesonic or those other sites so he can make some cash I should tell him to stop. And koby don't worry I believe in what you said, but what I meant before was that we barely talk to each other or chat, I tend to trust people that I know personally if you know what I mean.
