As proposed earlier, we are beginning something that can become a monthly thing, the Anime of the Month. Simply put, we will watch the anime throughout the month and then chat about it in a thread. As guidelines, the anime chosen will always be 26 episodes or less, and active users of the thread can pm me suggestions for the next month's anime. Also please try something that not everyone has seen before so the discussions arent biased. Please no movies or OVA series, we want an actual series. Now that we have that established, we can now begin with the Anime of the Month #2, Tide Line Blue! This can be found in dual audio and in two file sizes from Sicka's thread. There is only 13 episodes of it.

Plot: The catastrophe, "Hammer of Eden", resulted in the loss of six billion lives and the flooding of 90% of the land. The New United Nations were formed to pursue peace on the ruined lands 14 years later. Keel is a boy living in a town called Yabitsu, an area which prospered due to the energy from the nuclear generator brought by the catastrophe. His next kin, Aoi, is the secretary general of the New United Nations. She views the catastrophe as an opportunity to create a new world in which nations can help one another overcome differences in races and religions. However, her efforts to realise that vision fail because of the unwillingness of the nations to change. Gould, a military officer, feels that the only way to make an order is through the military. Using Ulysses, a nuclear submarine, along with his crew, including Keel's brother Tean, Gould carries out a coup to declare war against the New United Nations in his attack on Yabitsu.

Again, please pm me with suggestions or if you post them in the thread, please add other content that is related to the thread. Enjoy

Saw this a while back, almost skipped over it because of the low score on MAL; but decided to watch it when Hicks on here gave a review on it and it sounded promising.

Nothing about this anime blow me out of the water, that being said however it was one of the most solid anime I have seen. There weren't any weak points to the anime, it was at least decent in all aspects if not above being better then good in some. The story was interesting, with the characters diverse and showed real character development in just a few amount of episodes. The best thing about this anime was it felt real to me, not just fantasy.

Same, 4.31GB should take about an 1 hour. Hope this one will be as good as last months =).

The cover already makes the anime look amazing, so now I just have to wait and see.

I know that it looks pretty awesome, Hicks was the one that suggested it. Read his review for more details as to why. And remember everyone to submit your suggestions for next months!

i rewatched this a few months ago and i liked it. i kinda had an emotional moment with the flashbacks toward the end and both brothers' parents.

but if this wasn't suggested before, I'd like to discuss Blue Seed next month. To me it was one of the saddest animes that I have ever seen and it made for one of the best series of any genre of anything that I have ever seen.

Just finished the first episode and this is my kind of anime. The main character is the comedy type were things he does are almost always funny but he is also determined in the things he does, especially when he is looking after Isla. Also I can see a budding romance between Keel & Isla, and I love a romance in an anime =). So the next few episodes definitely look promising and I can't wait to see them, probably gonna stay up all night and watch them =).

Ok, so I have watched about half of it so far and its really great. They have completely filled it with awesome and each episode is constantly keeping you on your toes. Also, the draw style is excellent and reminds me of Full Metal Alchemist. There are a couple little things that I would have liked to change though. First off is the opening and ending themes, I dont particularly like them that much and a great anime deserves great music. Secondly, the main character seems way too stupid and i would like for him to have at least a little more intelligence

Finished this yesterday and it was brilliant although not enough episodes but at least the story was told very well, not too rushed and it kept me constantly interested. I actually loved the opening and ending theme, I got the soundtrack straight after finishing it.

I love the stupidity of Keel and Gould they are hilarious.

Great anime though, I might re-watch it before the end of this month.

I finished this up, superb series as I first said. One thing that I liked about the ending theme that I was bashing before was that it showed scenes from the previous episodes, making it a decent recap when watching. Though there was another little gimmick that I didnt like, they added in these great underwater combat scenes and then began to disregard them for random voyaging around the world. If the series was a bit more mature, I feel that it would be more enjoyable. Yet some of the characters are excellent. In particular, Gould was my favourite character for being silly and serious at the same time, plus he continually drove the story forwards. i would reccomend this series for all ages and all people who like anime

Again, remember to submit suggestions for the next months anime by pm or vm'ing me. enjoy!
