Since Fairy Tail resembles One Piece so much just pick which one you like more.

I most definitely prefer Fairy Tail to One Piece. For some reason One Piece has always annoyed me greatly.

One Piece is by far the greater of the two in pretty much every aspect.

Fairy Tail often degrades into pathetically retarded comedy at times and every single battle comes out seeming just like the last battle.

One Piece each fight seems to have taken something new, made the characters have to think or figure something out, and then take on the main opponent of the arc. The formula may be the same but the outcome feels completely different every time. One Piece still feels fresh even after 520 episodes and 10 movies. While Fairy Tail is already feeling stale with just over 100 episodes and 2 ova's.

I wouldn't say in every aspect, they do have their own qualities they shine at. Even though FT will morph everything into a sense of comedy.

OP just needs to pick up so all their characters reach their individual goals. Which is what makes it hard for me to be super into it.

To me OP has light drama sequences compared to FT, but FT's fight scenes and over-all trash talk isn't in the league of pirates.

FT is more of an opera of drama and conflicts, OP is just adventure and action most of the time. FT will put more of the 5 genres in the scenes, romance,action,adventure,drama and comedy. OP will usually stick to its guns.
