pingcheck
Sorry, but Terraria is an unimmersive, hard-to-use rip-off of minecraft that pales in comparison.
seirachan
Sorry, but Terraria is an unimmersive, hard-to-use rip-off of minecraft that pales in comparison.lol......I really like Terrarria maybe even more then minecraft there's lots of bosses to fight, more armor to make, magic equipment, NPC's you find that sell you stuff ect. really this game is just all around good and gives me a much better adventure feel then minecraft. J-Lord
This is funny, My brother only just found this game and got me and my other brother (I have 3 brothers lol) to start playing this. We all started playing Minecraft and love it!! And still love minecraft, but we also play Terraria. This game in great!!! We usually build a base to store all our goods we either find or make ourselves. We also dig through caves and all sorts looking for new and exciting things. So you cant convert me out of minecraft because I love both games hahaha.Ill post some pics soon of my server that me and my bros play on. Sagara117
I played the hell out of Terraria when it was released. I was actually saving up a metric TON of gold bricks to create my own version El'Derado but sadly never got it started... I probable should get into it again since the major update that added loads of new bosses and equipment. Never tried Minecraft though....

J-Lord
So what do the fellow terriaria fans like to do on their games? Mine? Fight bosses, make new weapons and armour etc?I do a bit of everything, currently im upgrading my house which also has a glowing mushroom farm underneath it. Im also upgrading my armour and weapondry to be able to take on some of the hardest bosses in the game. Beware the destoyer with 80,000 HP in the 2nd difficulty of the game he is stong but the weakest boss in that difficulty, Me and my 2 brothers cannot kill him. And to give you an idea of how much health difference that is, a player with max health only has 400 compared to his 80,
Guest
I've been interested in this game, but I was wondering if there is a singleplayer mode. All the videos on Steam have multiple players...

Guest
Its because Steam wants you to play online. However, it does have a lovely single player mode that you can fool around on, may not be as fun as multiplayer but its still good. So enjoy! J-Lord
You should mate, and the good thing about it is the character you create, no matter which level he is in whether it be single player or multiplayer he will retain his health and mana and any items he is carrying at the time. So if you work hard in single player and eventually wanna play multiplayer you character will stay the same, as long as you select him.

Sharess
My husband and I both play Terraria and LOVE it!!! We feel it harkens back to the days of 8 & 16-bit gaming, which he and I both grew up with. Just earlier this week, we started our first new world in about eight months and were shocked at the amount of stuff they had added. But, it didn't matter. Its still cooooooooooool. Hehehehe. We've never played Minecraft, so I can't offer any opinions on that, other than that I'd like to give it a try.
Renzourin
wow this thread has really taken off and yeah i find single player mode rather fun tbh but it does get boring when theres no one to show your creations off to but still i find it easier to use then minecraft with its stupidly complex crafting system

Renzourin
Yeah single player can get a bit boring with no one to show off to hahaha, And personally I dont mind Minecrafts crafting system, but then again everyone has their like and dislikes, I mean we cant all like the same things that in itself would be boring.Btw I thought id mention my terriaria character is a actuly Kakashi from Naruto, ill have to post a pic to show you guys it.Edit:As promised here is my Kakashi character, hes not as accurate as id like him to be but this is the best I could get him with the character creation feature: ahahahaha thats not bad at all man me seira and her friend are going to try and start up a small server you interested in coming along we were thinking of starting from scratch but right now details are still being hammered out

CRCGamer
This is one of the games I have around... and now that I'm off the government internet for a couple weeks I can actually update the sucker. And yup... hamster on the gear grinding wheel again. My Night's Edge went from uber to mid grade. Not to mention those bosses... Eeep! Talk about having to have a large number of rounds handy to take stuff down because of insane HP totals.Though when I'm playing it online I'm with some of my college buddies. ^^ Nothing beats having five go into the fight and seeing who manages to survive (if any!) the fight.
