Small or Large Forums

Would you prefer to have one central forum for the whole internet, or many small ones as we do now?

I personally prefer the small forums. Though there may be less posts, you also get more of a sense of friendship with the smaller user pool.

I quite like this forum... it has a "I'm home" feeling whenever I log in. I missed it so much while I was gone, the people, the fun.... I see everyone here who is an active member and who chats in the CB as my family and I love them all.

I'm only here and on anime suki (which is considerably larger) but i prefer it like kametsu is now more or less.

Like op said on larger forums people barely reply or follow any conversation for long, and rather just post for the sake of the topic. It's the same with bars for me, I rather go to the ones where there are less people ~tehee

I would say that smaller forums are kind of better, cause in that way you kind of get to know most people excluding the 5 posters and like Mae said it sort of becomes like a internet home.

Beh, large forums are boring. And, contradictory to your statement, this forums isn't small, in my opinion. It's one of those medium-sized ones. Large communities are boring 'cause there's just too many users to interact with, while medium-sized forums have considerable amount of users. I also agree with Talena Mae and think that this forum does have that "I'm home" feeling. There's also the problem that large forums' administrators run out of money to pay for server costs due to so many posts/threads/users, or so I've heard. So, Kametsu is the shit!

Smaller Forum is better than a larger Forum. A Bigger Forums can easily become a target for Anime Companies(I'm talking about "Download Anime" section). Unlike torrents, server downloads can be easily shut down.

You do pose an interesting point cause with forums like this one there are quite allot of them but if you were to merge them into one well there goes Kametsu.

But I just have one question how do they shut down Forums such as Kametsu, iI have my own theories but I want to hear what you have to say.

It may be medium sized in comparison to other forums, but if we took every anime forum and user and combined them, then Kametsu would be fairly small in comparison, as in less than 1%.
