Gurvir Posted December 4, 2011 Report Share Posted December 4, 2011 Lord of the rings I enjoyed it from start to finish and i'm sure there are better movies but, not avatar I never really enjoyed it was basically all about the scenery, throw a little romance in it, and some action all in all it was just "Pocahontas" in space and with blue people. Sharess Posted December 22, 2011 Report Share Posted December 22, 2011 Lots of my faves have been mentioned; ie: Princess Bride, Legend, Neverending Story (first one only, second one was not nearly as good, imo), Lord of the RingsBut, for pure fantasy, I have to agree with:Harry Potter series - This has got to be the greatest magic related series to be created so far. I just can't get enough of it but sadly it has ended so to save my self the depression I haven't watched the last two movies yet, just trying to savor the experience.I actually stopped watching them after reading Half-Blood Prince... I didn't want to see Dumbledore die... And after what happens to Snape (whom I'm a total fan-girl for, thanks to Alan Rickman)? I can't bring myself to watch it... He deserved some love, too. Call me a softy ,what can I say? But, I adored the first five & have no doubt that the final four films were just as jaw-droppingly cool.I also have to mention Pan's Labyrinth, as it too had some mind blowing fantasy going on...:haha: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
