Koby
In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed television anime, a high-definition “remaster project” is launching. Details of the remastering, including release date and price, have yet to be revealed. Mitsuo Fukuda, director of the original Gundam Seed anime, noted on his Twitter account that an official announcement about the release will come on August 26 — the official release date of the October issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Gundam Ace magazine. Fukuda thanked fans for the congratulatory comments on his Twitter page about the release, but he also expressed his disappointment that the news was leaked early. The latest information about the Gundam franchise will unveiled at the Chara Hobby 2011 event on August 28 in Chiba Prefecture. MangaLove
Although I liked Gundam Seed I would have preferred it was Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz getting this treatment.
Koby
The thing is Bandai isn't keen on releasing Blu-ray outside of Japan so the chances of this leaving there is slim. We just got to hope they include the English Dub on the Japanese release (happens occasionally when they release something in Japan again after an English Dub exists).. If not well there is always the possibility of someone such as OZC syncing the English Dub to the rips.
JCBeezy
Wouldn't this be a huge blu-ray for them in the states though?
Koby
Wouldn't this be a huge blu-ray for them in the states though? They didn't release Zeta on Blu-ray even though it was released in Japan. They haven't released a big portion of the series here either. They didn't even release Gundam 00 on Blu-ray here.So there is like a 0.1% chance they'd bother releasing this here. The ONLY Gundam on Blu-ray in the states so far has been Unicorn and the 00 Movie, even though a lot of the shows have been done on Blu-ray in Japan. Bandai just doesn't see any potential for Blu-ray in the States because they're idiots and thus they don't do it here. It's unfortunate because I'd actually buy them if they were to ever release them. :/I own Wing, Seed, Seed Destiny, Chars Counter Attack, F91, and 08th MS Team on DVD. I own the 00 Movie on Blu-ray.

Not a lot of big box stores (i.e. none) carry anime like they once did. Hell, could you imagine what Bandai would charge for SEED on Blu-Ray? They charge 50 bucks for the Unicorn BD's
