† L4ugh
They don't have the specs for that version of arnova on their home site anymore so I'm not sure how good that one would really be. The 7 seems to have more hard drive space and both seem to be able to play 720p, but I don't know if that includes the high profile videos. The 7 still had a higher battery life then even the newer 10.1 specs stated so I might be tempted to go with that one. The 10 did have a higher resolution 1024x600(10) to 800x480(7) but if the 7 can play all levels of 720p video then I'd still be tempted to go with it. The 10's bigger screen and higher resolution is why it has a shorter battery life.I can't find processor specs on any of them so there is no real way of telling if one is more power then the other. My guess is that the only real difference is the better/bigger lcd screen on the arnova 10.The specs I could find for the 7 are here 7 Home Tablet
Dirke
They both seem to be fairly cheep tablets, which is what the company is known for anyhow. If you're looking for budget it's really personal preference, but the 10" might have a better OS than the other. I know that the smaller tablet is running Eclair, the 10" may be running Froyo or better. If you wanted a high end tablet there are plenty on the market, sadly, they're all incredibly expensive. † L4ugh
So what are your opinions of the xoom tablet so far and how much did you pay for it? Do you think is was worth the money?I've been wanting one since I saw all the vids about them during CES but the price seemed a bit much for my taste. G Bass
instead of the Archos 7 Home Tablet you should check out the Archos Arnova 7 & (i think) 8. the 7 is coming out for $99, has 720p, (unfortunately) resistive touchscreen, and if you root, it could be a decent budget tablet for web browsing, facebook, reading, or stuff like that. REM4606
I must say I have the Motorola Xoom with Android Honeycomb OS... its simply amazing! Don't get me wrong it still needs more apps to compete full on with Apple's tablet, but seriously any tablet with Google's Honeycomb WILL pass all other products in the near future! -Zero-
the Xoom is a pretty good albeit rather chunky tablet. Personally I prefer the Galaxy Tab 10.1 over the Xoom( and the iPad 2 above anything else) but that's just me. I've used a Xoom before but it would be nice to hear from an actual owner. Any thoughts on it yet?
