So on a purely egg (nobody said it was a chicken egg) vs chicken scale, it's egg. The chicken egg vs chicken might be a different story, though evolution is such a slow process that picking an exact moment when proto-chicken became chicken would be completely arbitrary and unscientific so it's kind of a moot point. Dan Den Posted August 22, 2011 Report Share Posted August 22, 2011 I would have to say that this answer can either one according to your point of view, mainly:If you look at it from a religious point's of view, then God created the chicken and the chicken laid the egg.And if you look at it from a scientific point of view then the egg came first, cause the chicken had to evolve from some sort of species then it laid or what evered the egg and that was when the chicken came after the egg.
