seirachan
The Maine Coon that I've just the discovered the existence of today is just awesome and the best thing about them are that they are house cats. They have Lynx like earsand are HUGEI want one soo badly! I've always loved Lynx ears but never thought it could be on house cats. But they are like $250-$1000 with their food and scratch houses/toys on top of that. But I wanna save up for one even if it takes me years! There's breeders in the next province over that can ship by plane. These cats are just awesome!Info:Maine Coons are the largest breeds of domestic cat. Males weigh anywhere between 15 and 25 lb (6.8 and 11 kg) with females weighing between 10 and 15 lb (4.5 and 6.8 kg).[17] The height of adults can vary between 10 and 16 in (25 and 41 cm) and they can reach a length of up to 40 in (100 cm), including the tail, which can reach lengths of up to 14 in (36 cm)[18] and is long, tapering, and heavily furred, almost resembling a raccoon's tail. The body is solid and muscular, which is necessary for supporting their own weight, and the chest is broad. Maine Coons possess a rectangular body shape and are slow to physically mature; their full potential size is normally not reached until they are three to five years old, while other cats take about only one yearhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maine_Coon

Trend
Wow, they are huge! not to mention really cool looking with those Lynx ears. I wouldn't mind having one as a pet as well
Malyssa Rahl
I've seen a couple of those up close.. They are really really big. Pictures can't prepare you for them.. They are also very friendly on average. The ones I've met were almost more like dogs than cats.. walked right up to me, sniffed me, and demanded attention (The demanding attention thing was what made them keep acting like cats rather than dogs)
Kasoivc
Yeah, Maine Coons were one of the things my group during lunch discussed. They're like, huge. I think my friend has one and I mistook it for a dog while I was just sitting there playing with it. Their size is the only thing that intimidates me, other than that it'd be scary as hell to trip over one in the middle of the night and then see glowing eyes moving around - I already do that sometimes with my golden retriever and I get plenty enough of a heart attack just falling in the dark.Kind of funny considering my sister's purebred Shihtzu thinks it's a cat itself. (Quite a dumb dog we got imho, it thinks it's a cat and is accident-prone; we have a couch in front of a stairway railing and he always manages to roll over off the couch and over the railing, falling all the way to the bottom of the steps.) Even my bf's cat that knows me, she wont let me pet her till she smells my hand then rubs her head against it.
