lordofelemental Posted February 18, 2011 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011 just watch the funimation dvd's it's good, and if ever you catch up to the dual audio episodes.. consider also to watch the subs. i know that the series is long, but rest assured, if you got interested in watching it even the first 20 episodes.. you will certainly watch it to the end. Sharess Posted March 6, 2011 Report Share Posted March 6, 2011 My husband & I have been watching the OP episodes that are hosted at Hulu.com and they are the Fanimation dubs (for those that are looking to start the series). Unfortunately they only have the first three seasons (up to end of the Skypiea arc) then they jump to season 10 Which is one of the many reasons I've joined this forum... I want to see seasons 4 - 9 before 10, but call me silly because I like things in order. Now i'm not a dub vs nondub fanboy but If I had to chose I would suggest you go for the nondub version. Not only are they a lot further then the English. As in well beyond Impell down but both English dubs take liberties with the writing that drags the show around, not down but around. They understated a lot of the emotions and personification the original delivered quit well. If any thing else check it out. The only problem I've had with it so far is Whitebeard's voice before Skypeia. You need only listen to the Japanese voice to see how off it is.
