Great game but I haven't played it in a while.. didn't play it as much as SSB Melee either though, maybe cause its just more of the same with not many changes that add anything worthwhile to warrant that much more attention, but a great game anyways.

My fiance doesn't like to play unless its a party because she isn't good and doesn't want to practice until she is and the roommate is just enough above me in skill I don't like playing one on one so we still play occasionally but pretty much only when we have friends over and we need something that is easy to pick up and play. In fact we have one friend who isn't much of a gamer and its tradition to play now whenever they come over.

I'm not very good, but I still get a kick out of playing with my brothers. Ike, Zelda, and Pit are my main characters, and Marth is up there, too. I loved Roy in SSBM, and I was sad when they ditched him. (Fire Emblem bias, ne?)

talk about necro posting revivals... but alas, the life of a forum thread. SSBB used to be one of my favourite games, but the balancing issues really got to me in the end and decided why bother. I almost always played as Link, Falco or Marth, and practically never lost.

If by balancing issues then you are talking about some characters being stronger than the others, it is true but also easy to fix. Every character has a move or strategy that will let them win. For example, I can beat people with jigglypuff easily just because I can fly everywhere and throw piles of items

I dont have a character I play a lot since I normally just leave it on random, but Pikachu lets me win every game

seriously dude, I'm not an idiot. I didn't mean the focus of the game, which is what you have said in this pointless show. I meant that certain characters are so OPed that they are impossible to beat if played by an experienced player, and I do mean impossible. I've racked up hundreds of hours on and offline on ssbb, it being my favourite game for almost a year. I'm glad to say that I probably know every strategy the game has to offer, so it seems kinda redundant when someone says that as it shows they don't what they are on about.

as reluctant as I am to say it, in a strict tournament sense (1v1 matches, no items, 4 stocks, 8 minutes on a non-banned stage) MetaKnight is an overpowered character. His worst matchup is against Diddy Kong which still is 55% in MK's favor.

That said, without metaknight Brawl is more balanced than Melee or even Smash 64 were. It may have some different mechanics that make the game somewhat uncomfortable to play, but on a pure mechanical level, Brawl is more balanced than melee is.

Great game, lots of action, and many characters to play as. My favorite part of the game is Adventure Mode where all the characters in act with each other. Cross-overs are the best.

I used to have favorite characters but it became to biased in matches against my brother and his GF. Random is my default character selection nowadays I cant wait for a new Smash Bros. tho, with even more characters!
