Some questions for other webmasters...

How do you find out daily/monthly unique hits? I am looking at my control panel and it says "Unique Servers Request" (something like that which I'm guessing is synonymous to unique hits) with 3500 something. It doesn't say per day/per month/per year or anything at all, and 3500 unique hits per month is a bit much for my site I think... but much too little per year. I saw a count on FM's main site and I was interested on finding out my own... but I don't know how. =/

And another question - I am looking for some hostees and I was wondering about how much I should give to people looking to have sites something like FF sites out there (like this one). I have a lot to give as far as that goes, but I don't want to give something too low or way too high.

Thanks for your help.

Your server should have some stats program like awstats which is probably the best recommended one. Or you can use extreme tracker.

I wouldn't bother trying to track hits via topsites as topsites don't count your hits properly. It's well known they miss more then half of them. Look at FM for example.. the topsites say around 650 and yet we get closer to 3,400.

The count on FM homepage for unique pageviews is just text as it was just a place holder when designing the layout and it was our current hits at the time.. but we now get about 1,000 more then that says. =P

Hosting? Hmm well I offer 25gb bandwidth and 2.5gb disk space, with 1 mysql db, 1 ftp account, etc.. Although our free hosting page says differently.. I need to update that page. Haha.
