Is Bakuman a sort of bio?

It's a thing i've wondered about ever since i first read the basic plot of the manga.

There's a guy who does the stories (Tsugumi Ohba) and another guy who does the artwork (Takeshi Obata) and they submit their manga together as a team.

also, maybe it's just my imagination ... but doesn't the guy Shuujin look a LOT like Light from Death Note ... except for the glasses, of course.

FTW!!! the image looks kinda fake cuz im sure Ryuk wasn't there when i first saw it ... but that expression "Start writing names!" .... gosh, i can't believe i didn't see that till now.

i didnt notice either. i think its like a bio, it sort of tells us how the authors started but then wasnt that its intention?

Well the Bakuman manga is done by the original author and mangaka pair who did Death Note, Tsugumi Ooba and Takeshi Obata.
