If I remember, though it could of been switched or something... was when toonami was showing in the early years (ahhhh... the nostalgia...). Any who, I think it was Dragonball Z or Sailor Moon. But my best friend showed me the first episodes of both and at first I was like whatever. But, a couple weeks later I tried watching them more (closely followed by bleach) and you know what, I got hooked.
