Networking troubles

Here's the situation..

I have 3 computers on a network, my PC, laptop, and Netbook. All are set to share files, none have a firewall protecting that specific network connection. All three can see the others in the network.

The problem? Of the three, only the netbook is able to access files on the other two. Same with attempting to set it up to play a game over the LAN, if I host a game on the PC, the laptop can't see it, but the netbook can.. If I host on the laptop, the PC can't see it, but the netbook can.. and if I host on the netbook, none of the others can see it.

I've tried connecting other computers in there as well, same thing happens, only the netbook can access anything on the other computers.

All are running Windows XP home. So any help needs to come for that OS.

hmmmz are all the files to be shared where they should be in the shared files folder? and give us more information i mean even if it says no firewall is blocking you but what about what antivirus protection you use some block that and make sure each computer is set properly for each folder you want to share but from the sounds of it something somewhere is blocking you

The firewall on the local area network connection is completely turned off. the antivirus programs would send an alert saying they blocked it if that were the case.

The files in the shared folders are set to share as well, and as I said, I have no trouble accessing from the netbook. But with its tiny screen, and limited power compared to the other two, it takes a long time to transfer anything.. And it still doesn't help with the gaming thing.

I've tried the methods suggested for troubleshooting a network.. Including the type //COMPUTERNAME or //IPADDRESS into your address bar thing to get into it.. Same thing, only the netbook is able to access the other two.

That would be somewhat difficult since I can't use internet at home at the moment. But the method of sharing is simple, after running the network setup wizard on all 3 computers, I right click the folder I want to share, and go down to "Sharing and Security" and check the "Share this folder" box. I also checked the "Allow netowrk users to change my files" box, but that is so I am actually able to transfer the files back through the netbook, because that's the one that is able to access the others. I'll have the error message with me tomorrow.. I meant to have it today, but I left the jumpdrive with that file at home.
