Project Itoh's Genocidal Organ Film to Open in U.S. Theaters

FUNimation Entertainment announced on Friday that it will screen the anime film of Project Itoh's Genocidal Organ novel in United States theaters on July 12 and 13.

Funimation previously debuted the other two Project Itoh films, The Empire of Corpses and Harmony, in select theaters last year in April and May, respectively. The Empire of Corpses screened with an English dub while Harmony had both English-dubbed and English-subtitled screenings.

 

The film opened in Japan on February 3.

The new anime company Geno Studio produced the film. Geno Studio took over production of the film after the studio Manglobe, which was originally animating the film, filed for bankruptcy in September 2015. The film's staff then announced in October 2015 that the film had been delayed.
