Koby Posted July 31, 2016 Report Share Posted July 31, 2016 A new teaser trailer, a new key visual, and new additions to the cast have all been revealed for Gantz: O, an upcoming 3DCG anime film that adapts the "Osaka Arc" of Hiroya Oku's violent science fiction manga, Gantz. The new cast members announced for Gantz: O include: MAO as Anzu Yamazaki. Tomohiro Kaku as Joichiro Nishi. Saori Hayami as Reika. Shūichi Ikeda as Yoshikazu Suzuki. Hisanori Yoshida as Announcer. Masane Tsukayama as Nurarihyon. Masaya Onosaka as Susumu Kimura. Kenjiro Tsuda as Sanpei Taira. Teruaki Ogawa as Tetsuo Hara. And Yūki Kaji as Kei Kurono. The story of Gantz involves groups of strangers who - after encountering seemingly lethal situations - are teleported to an apartment where a mysterious sphere demands that they engage in game-like battles against monstrous and deadly aliens. In the "Osaka Arc", the Tokyo team finds themselves transported to an unfamiliar setting and confronted by more powerful enemies than ever before. The original Gantz manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine from 2000 - 2013. Gantz: O is directed by Keiichi Sato and Yasushi Kawamura and features animation by Digital Frontier. I heard it was a lot of shock value for the sake of shock value without much substance, but then that was also from someone I've disagreed with on several shows already. Anyone got a second opinion?
