My favorite final fantasy has been and will probably always be final fantasy VI this game in my opinion had one of the best stories I have ever played. Easily in second was final fantasy VII as many have said this game revolutionized the way people thought about Rpgs on the ps1 system. I really liked Final Fantasy XI as well At least until I got tired of the seeking party for hours on end ><

FFX is easily my favourite (actually my favourite game ever), with IX and V as distant 2nd and 3rds respectively. Least favourite is VIII.

FFII was the first FF I played on my Famicom and its in japanese.

even though i cant understand the text i keep on playing it.Sad to say I did not finished it then came FFVI(japan) or FFIII(US) for the SNES this was my first english FF game that i finished about 50times. all other series were good too but for me these were the ones that gave impact to my gaming in terms of FF.

FF II snes--> First FF game I ever played. Beat it more times then I can remember.

FF III also snes.

FF VII -> Awesome all around.

FF X -> Another one I can play over and over. I LOVE BLITZBALL!!!

No question after really only playing all of the 7s in the series, 8, 9, X, X-2, 13, and 14. Im going with Crisis Core as the BEST Final Fantasy game. Its so perfect, I like it better then the story of VII with Cloud. Plus at long last Zack's story could be told!

The best one for me was Final Fantasy VIII. Probably because it was the first one i ever played. VII, IX and XII also rank highly for me. XIII is horrible.

XIII to me was to westeren mostly due to everyone in the game. It might as well been made by EA or Activision. Square is pretty much running Final Fantasy into the ground just to sell more units of the game. If Versus XIII doesn't bring the game back or close to the Japanese style roots Im going to start buying used copies of the games so Sqaure doesn't see a penny of my money! I was so pumped for a FF game which was the first time really ever, just to be let down.

I personally favor FF8 over the rest of them, even though some of the others are better in gameplay, graphics or story i found FF8 to have the right balance in all for my tastes

plus having characters that look like real humans rather than tiny big headed thingies is good

VIII was the best cause Trigger and Boost system It made you feel like you were playing the game more than some other FF games.
